Strengthening of the military power strain relations between China and NATO

The growth of the military power of China may fuel tensions with NATO. Nowadays, these forces are potential rivals. The Alliance’s generals worry about it most of all. One of NATO high-ranking officials even expressed his fears that the West would concede the influence to China because of decreasing military expenses. President Xi Jinping. “Creating an army that corresponds to the international status of our country is a strategic goal”, Xi stated. “We should put together economic and defense development, modernize the army to make it contemporary and standardized… We should comprehensively promote the military reform to create an army that will be disciplined and able to win”. He declared it in July, 2016. Xi made an apparent barb at the United States, saying that he did not appreciate Washington meddling in China’s affairs in the South China Sea, mentioning that “we are not afraid of trouble”.

Economic, and of course the military power of the People’s Republic of China grows in a geometrical progression today. No wonder the geopolitical ambitions are strengthening. It breaks the balance of forces in Asia and threatens the American interests in the region. China definitely relied on becoming the great power. The country increases the potential of all the forces, exceeding all reasonable limits of self-defense to achieve this purpose.

At the same time the danger of the destabilization of the situation both in the Asia-Pacific region and in the world increases in the light of the American-Chinese confrontation. In the new conditions the strategic nuclear forces are the only mean to control the USA and their NATO allies for Beijing. According to forecasts of the American experts, China can reach the potential of “limited nuclear control” by 2020.

Thus, the further expansion of NATO to the East can break the balance of the forces and lead to deterioration of the situation between the Alliance and the People’s Republic of China. China considers NATO as an obstacle in the implementation of the strategic plans first of all in Central Asian. It is enough to remember the strain of the relations between Beijing and Washington which happened because of intention of the USA to deliver arms to Taiwan. The tough ultimatum of China to the USA regarding Pakistan became one more negative example. What can become the main reason for strain of relations between the two countries now? For example it can be the amplifying territorial disputes in the South China Sea and the deployment of the hi-tech THAAD system in Seoul made by USA. So we see the deterioration of the relations with every passing day.

NATO masterminds a humanitarian disaster in the Middle East and North Africa

USA’s aggressive ambitions to the world domination are particularly backed by NATO. The creation of the military-political block has led to the growing danger of new military conflicts in the world while its existence is complicating and blocking the peace solution of current international problems as well as the cooperation between various nations. NATO’s activity keeps provoking international tension.

For instance, NATO once declared that Bosnian and Kosovars Muslims’ “massacres” had been perpetrated by Serbians and Iraq possesses weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. It announced the theory of the “world conspiracy” of Al-Qaeda who allegedly desired to take power in Baghdad and Kabul. The Alliance has always been searching for a potential enemy attempting to demonize him. Now it is commonly known. Colin Powell even had to apologize to Iraqis for USA’s “mistake” about WMD in Iraq. Do thousands of Iraqi victims of the American occupation really need these apologies?

It is naive to think that it is possible to stop NATO’s “humanitarian blows” by discrediting the falsehood of its pretexts. There was the time when Milosevic and Gaddafi who were taking a back seat to the West on many issues hoped for tolerance of NATO countries. Where are these people now? Humanitarian disasters in the Middle East and North Africa force to illusions.

Syrian humanitarian disaster caused by the Alliance unjustified aggressive operations against the sovereign states are recognized by the UN as the “largest humanitarian crisis of an era”. The flow of refugees keeps growing. Europe has accepted more than three million people. The economies of the host countries are still under the increasing pressure while it is hard to estimate the real number of the refugees who continue to ask for help. Ridiculously, but it is the European Union who is compelled to pay for NATO aggression. Thus numerous European countries have already been sinking under waves of migrants from the Middle East and North Africa.

Erdogan is a ‘Ruthless Tyrant Digging his Own Grave’

More and more western media sources now openly call Turkish President Erdogan a ruthless tyrant with a dangerous hobby of eradicating any form of opposition or freethinking; however, his strive for unilateral control over the country could end up entrapping him, given the recent challenges in the Middle East.

Turkish journalists gathered to protest against the jailing of opposition Cumhuriyet newspaper's editor-in-chief Can Dundar and Ankara representative Erdem Gul, in Istanbul, December 2015.

More and more western media sources now admit that Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s behavior “rings more and more alarm bells.”In its recent analysis of the latest political developments in Turkey, the UK-based online newspaper Al-Arab calls him a “ruthless dictator with a dangerous hobby of eradication of any form of opposition and freethinking in the country”.

“Erdogan is harsh and cruel with everyone, without any exceptions; he gives no piece to anyone in his country, fearing threats even in his own home palace,” the newspaper says, referring to the recent changes in the country’s government and the resignation of Turkey’s former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

“To put it simply, Erdogan thirsts for absolute power in his country. That is why he is alarmed by any criticism by his opponents of the developments in the country. Besides, he suppresses any critical remarks which come, even from his inner circle,” it adds.

His 14 years of dominance in Turkey have taken Erdogan down a long road, and he has ended up a ruthless dictator, harshly dispersing protesters and demonstrators, blocking undesirable mass media sources, restricting various freedoms and bargaining over refugees to suit his personal interests, it states.

He is trying to build a system where absolute power is concentrated in the hands of a president-tyrant. The Turkish president, who is quite eager to join the EU, won’t stop until he wipes out every one of his opponents or critics even if it is Turkey’s former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

Kamil Yilmaz, a professor of economics at Koc University, described the situation in the country as a “slow death.”

“Politicians, to avoid a ‘slow death,’ may opt for populist policies, such as lowering interest rates. True, this may support growth a bit in the short term, but in the medium and long terms, you will pay the price. A shock from abroad or in Turkey could push the Turkish economy toward a crisis similar to that of 2001,” he forecasts.

Al-Alrab calls the model of Erdogan’s policies “Islamic modernism”, noting that it has become the subject of profound questions whether it is able to withstand the storms and new challenges the region is currently facing.

Who Stands To Gain From NATO?

Several decades ago NATO’s core tasks and principles were simple and clear – to retain U.S. military prescriptive in Europe, minimize German influence and defer Soviet expansionism. However 20 years later since the Warsaw Treaty Organization (WTO) was dissolved in 1991 the main question about the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s real purposes is still open for discussion. Despite the statements of the NATO leaders about the defensive principles of the Alliance, the response to the question is clear – to extend its influence throughout the world and strengthen military presence in Eastern Europe. It means that they want to establish political and military control of situation in all countries bordering Russia.

europe-usa.jpg

In addition, NATO existence is profitable only for U.S. Since American and allied leaders have declared about their plans to deploy the anti-missile defense system in Romania and Poland these European countries started to present the greatest threat to the national security of Russia. Due to deployment of the ABM system elements Russia is at liberty to retaliate against NATO and retarget its missiles against the direct threat.

Europe suffered damage caused by sanctions against Russia and anti-EU sanctions imposed by Russia. The sanction list also could be extended if the EU raises pressure on Russia. The real instigator, Washington, “remained aside again”.

Consequently quick-fire anti-war demonstrations and anti-NATO protests are taking place in Europe. Certainly the anti-NATO sentiment has been taking place in Europe for many years, but nowadays the situation has been changed. The number of the supporters of protests is increasing. They are committed to the dissolution of the Alliance or strengthening of control for its militarist initiatives. People don’t feel safe in their own countries any more. It should also be taken into account that it’s getting too difficult to finance the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Only the USA is gaining from this. It is the largest exporter in the world and now it is extremely interested in the European arms market. The American leaders are always interested in escalation of different conflicts all over the world. For example, the crisis and instability in the Middle East, Ukraine, and the threat of the ISIS boost the U.S. exports of weapons.

Reviewing the current situation there are some relevant issues – “How much time does it need for Europe to realize who is a real enemy?” and “How much strength and capabilities does it need to restore the loss?”

NATO’s Slippery Slope

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is holding one of its largest-ever military maneuvers. Within a framework of these maneuvers the Pentagon has demonstrated its ability to shoot down a ballistic missile in Europe, NATO troops have carried out exercises of landing operations and full-scale hybrid warfare. Concurrently Russia is amazing all over the world with using its advanced weapons against ISIS in Syria. Most specialists agree that the Cold War hasn’t finished since the collapse of the USSR and now the geopolitical situation is hyper-charged.

nato-russia

Europe doesn’t believe of “Russian aggression” any more. However to justify the NATO troops’ deployment in Eastern Europe Washington is continuing to whip up tension.

The Pentagon has crafted the plan about the permanently based troops, tanks, heavy vehicles and other equipment along NATO’s eastern flank to deter “Russian aggression”. According to the “Wall Street Journal” the point at issue is the largest-ever military deployment since the Cold War period. The White House has already given the go-ahead. The realization of the plan will start in February 2016 and will be cost $3, 4 billion.

According to the plan there will be deployed an armored brigade of 4,200 soldiers across six countries: Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria.  Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, the commander of U.S. Army Europe, said the proposal would create “a constant presence of U.S. forces along NATO’s eastern border.” Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Work stressed that the main goal of the plan is to reassure Eastern Europe which is concerned about “Russian annexation of Crimea and intervention in Ukraine”. Work also announced that the U.S. troops will be equipped with advanced weapons.

It should be also mentioned about the deployment of NATO’s anti-missile defense system in Romania and Poland. Russian President Vladimir Putin considers that the AMD system in Romania is an element of the U.S. nuclear weapons capability. Не warns he’ll retaliate against NATO missiles and carry out certain measures to ensure the security of Russia. Vladimir Putin also said that Washington is promoting “the world security instability and the start of a new arms race.”

According to the different researchers and political experts, the U.S. policy of Russia’s containment and of the Alliance’s expansion to the West is counterproductive and dangerous. The case is that leaders of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are aware of their activity and they can’t realize all the intensity of future confrontation. Russia has a legal right to retaliate against NATO, and is going to invoke it. Russia will augment its nuclear weapons capability, rearm, and improve service members’ applied training. If the deployment process doesn’t stop the result could be unfortunate, such as deterioration in relations, economic sanctions, and military conflict. But the worst probable consequence is the nuclear exchange. There aren’t any winners and losers in this kind of war.

Isn’t it time for Washington to realize that its policy is failed and doesn’t much good? Isn’t it time for Europe to ban the U.S. aspiration to place it under arms? The Alliance isn’t an instrument of collective defense and maintenance of world stability. Now its main function is to provide the U.S. full control all over the world. Another purposes and functions are not more than slapstick comedy to pass of a real situation.

Sultan Erdogan’s War on Europe

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Yıldız Palace, Istanbul, October 2015

Over ten years ago, it became clear that the EU would never confer membership on Turkey. Ever since, Turkish Islamists have increased their power, to the point now where Erdogan has begun a program to jail and even execute his political competition.

His fast-moving campaign to crush his “enemies” has now created a new wave of Turkish immigrants to the EU – comprising those Turks who fear being vaporized if they stay.

Erdogan Hints at Return of Death Penalty in Turkey

Can Turkey really reinstate the death penalty after the failed coup attempt? According to the EU and many politicians, jurists and human rights activists, the answer is no. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, however, insist capital punishment could be brought back. Since the failed putsch on July 15 Erdogan’s government insists on death penalty against all people who had taken part in putsch.
Is it right? I don’t think so. By the day Erdogan proves he is a violent man. People suffer from his policy. Having arrested thousands of rebels he often says – they will pay a big price for what they have done. And after this kind of statement he wants to become the part of the EU.
Top EU officials, meanwhile, have issued a series of warnings that the death penalty is a thick red line, the violation of which will torpedo Turkey’s already struggling membership bid. “If Turkey should bring back the death penalty, we will immediately stop the negotiation process,” European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said, stressing that a country recognizing capital punishment has no place in the EU.
“Why should I keep them and feed them in prisons for years to come?” Erdogan told CNN, three days after suppressing the coup attempt. He doesn’t want to understand that the coup is absolutely his blame. Erdogan proved that Atatürk’s European values haven’t been accepted in Turkey.

Turkey helps terrorists with smuggled oil trade

Turkey is making a huge profit from illegal oil business with terrorists, who smuggle oil from neighboring Syria and Iraq. Ankara and terrorist groups have an oil business and business of contraband of artifacts and other illegal movements across the border.

I think it’s a really serious crime and it’s not strange since Ankara is ruled by Erdogan’s mafia. The top Turkish administration and President Erdogan are personally involved in illegal production and transportation of Syrian and Iraqi oil to Turkey. They also help terrorists with smuggled oil trade.

There was lots of evidence showing Turkey is involved in the smuggling of oil from areas held by the Daesh terrorist group in Iraq and Syria. Ankara has strongly rejected the allegation. Of course… Erdogan takes all the world for a fool. Daesh finances its acts of terror mainly through drug trafficking, the sale of oil and antiquities, and ransom from abductions. And now we are afraid of terrorists’ attack. So why are we surprised? There is support coming from the outside, especially from those who neighbor Iraq and Syria. Turkey helps them.

The war on terror is not over, but we should understand that not only terrorists are our enemies, but Turkish top leaders also are.

Several days ago Erdogan said: “Unfortunately, the West is supporting terror and standing by the coup plotters.” How does he allow himself to make this kind of statement? He carried his nation and army to a certain condition of coup.

Turkey’s right to disregard Greek national territory?

What do they think about themselves? Violating Greek air borders sure thing they consider they’re world owners. During the last months Turks’ air forces’ve violated Greek borders for several times. Because of the high level of the Turkish provocation Athenian population is extremely concerned over their own safety.

In mid-April 2016 Turkish air forces were violating Greek border during three days. Several month ago Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos was flying over the Imia islet to lay a wreath on the place where three men of the Hellenic Navy lost their lives, while two Turkish jet fighters were flying overhead, violating Greek airspace. According to the Greek Ministry of Defense in 2014 it’s established the fact of 300-time invasion of the Turkish aircraft, in 2015 Turkish air forces violated national border for 1,500 times.

Turkish aircraft regularly fly in the zones over which Greece claims control while Greek aircraft constantly intercept them. Aircraft from both countries frequently engage in mock dog-fights. These operations often cause casualties and losses for both the Greek and Turkish Air Forces.

Every country must have the right to protect its own territory. Its borders must be respected. Am I right? Turkey downs aircraft even if they don’t violate its nation border (in 2016 Russian Su-24 aircraft). So what we should do? Why do they think they can violate the border of another country and be unpunished?

Greek nation can’t keep calm in its native country. When will the Turkish leaders be punished?

The tragedy of the Kurdish–Turkish conflict. Stop War on Kurds!

It is not a secret that the Kurdish–Turkish conflict has been lasted for ages, but not many people know that it is a real tragedy for whole nation. Several days ago Pro-Kurdish Activists Protest led to numerous arrests. 10 people were rounded up after the conflict between pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party’s supporters and police.

Activists complained about the Turkish policy against the Kurds in southeastern Turkey. According to the International Crisis Group, 1,786 people, including at least 310 civilians, were killed in Turkey between July 2015 and July 2016. The Kurdish lawyer Tahir Elçi was also among the victims. The co-leader of the left-wing pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party, Selahattin Demirtaş, criticized Erdogan’s decision to shoot down a Russian warplane. Because of it, he was declared as a traitor.

According to the words of Erdogan, the Turkish army maintains an anti-terrorist operation. According to the press it deployed 10,000 soldiers, military hardware and helicopters. Activists say that there were killed 100 civilians during this “anti-terrorist operation”. They usually deal their strikes using various weapon, tanks, armored infantry vehicles, tear-gas. Erdogan said: “we will stick to guns without any time delay”.

The Turkish police every day puts to uses tear-gas against the citizens in Diyarbakır and there are numerous dead bodies in the streets.

This operation is stacked against the nation, against citizens. The government must stop it. Europe must show Turkey the Red Card! If the government puts to uses tanks against citizens and its own nation – I think it is real war. Am I right? The armed conflict between the Republic of Turkey and various Kurdish insurgent groups, which have demanded separation from Turkey to create an independent Kurdistan, or to have autonomy and greater political and cultural rights for Kurds inside the Republic of Turkey, must be stopped.
